Enter a PICPA Careers in Accounting Contest and win a monetary prize!

THINK:

First pick 1 of 3 topics that MOST interests you:

• If you were to open a business/charity what would it be and could an Accountant help you?

• How does participating in team sports/school clubs/extracurricular activities develop your leadership skills?

• Is college education worth the cost?


WRITE:

Guidelines:

•Essays must be a full 3-5 pgs. (not including bibliography), typed in a 12 pt font and double spaced.

•Bibliography references are required and proper attribution must be given.

•Entries must include a cover sheet (which can be found on www.picpa.org) that includes the student's high school, class year, and e-mail address, as well as the sponsoring teacher's name, phone number, and e-mail address.

• The student's name must not appear anywhere else on the essay other than the cover sheet.

• Papers should not be folded.


Essays must follow guidelines or will not be considered.


WIN:


$1,000, $750, $500, and $ two $200 honorable mentions will also be awarded.

Deadline for submission is March 16, 2012

Writer's workshop

Attention Writers & Poets!
You have an opportunity to join the Denison's Young Writer's Workshop for 8 days in June (17th-24th). You choose a primary area of focus - poetry, fiction, or nonfiction. You will meet every day in small groups; supplemented by individual conferences with faculty members as well as structured writing time. You will also be given cross writing sessions that offer exposure to other genres and workshops with visiting writers. Go to reynolds.denison.edu for more information.
